CONNECTING A RASPBERRY PI

We can power on a RASPBERRY PI by

   1.  Connecting RASPBERRY PI to a monitor via a VGA to HDMI converter.

Here what we will be needing is a monitor,an HDMI to VGA converter and a 5V  2A  adapter to give power to the RASPBERRY PI. Not to mention we will be needing a keyboard and a mouse.

2Connecting a RASPBERRY PI to a computer via SSH(Secure Shell)

Here we can connect a RASPBERRY PI to a computer via SSH.What you will be needing is,

Download and install PuTTY and Xming.

Before connecting to RASPBERRY PI and computer we need to configure our network.For this go to Control panel > Network and Internet > Network and Sharing Centre.

Click on Ethernet.Now Ethernet status will be opened.

Click on properties and select Internet Version Protocol 4 (TCP/ipv4)

Configure the IP address as following

Click OK.

Now power up your RASPBERRY PI and connect  the ETHERNET cable.

Open Xlauncher(If it is not in desktop search it)

Click on Next until Finish.

Now open PuTTY and type the following IP address under Host Name.

On SSH on the bottom left side of  the window select X11 and check Enable X11 forwarding.

Then click open.If everything is alright then you will see a terminal.In the terminal type the login id, “pi” or “root”  (root will have administrative privileges) ,  password  (by default it is”raspberry“) . Then type “lxsession” and press enter.

RASPBERRY PI is now booted up.
